What are Transitional/Linking Words?
Transitional words are use to connect your ideas, sentences, and paragraphs so your writing flows smoothly and makes sense.
Why use them? Without them, your writing sounds choppy, like a robot is talking. With them, your writing sounds smart, smooth, and easy to follow.
The Examples (The "Go-To" List)
Here is a list of the most common transitional words, grouped by what they do.
